BARONS COURT HOUSE

The conversion creates a contemporary flexible space particularly on the top floor, incorporating a walk in shower. A new curved partition divides the full double bedroom from the cornered shower room area, maximising spatial experience.
This curved wall provides a structural, functional and sculptural element within the bedroom. Plywood sheet walls creates a contrasting aesthetic. Inside the shower room this curved wall surrounds an arc of a rounded shower, defining the space within.

Natural light filters downwards, through the north facing bedroom; a new void in the ceiling separated by horizontal roof beams create apertures that cast long beautiful shadow effects along the walls.
In the hallway the new large skylight overhead connects the resident to the sky.
